A New Year. Words from Bob.

First off, to any of you that are planning to go out and celebrate the new year with alcohol or anything else that impairs your ability to operate a motor vehicle, I request/beg that you travel by some means other than you driving, and that doesn't mean ride with someone just a little less drunk than you.  PS This applies for EVERY DAY, EVERY YEAR.

So another year has went by and still around is this site, the game it talks about, and me, your humble author.

2012 was a bit of a, well not the best year, I won't go into all the details, but holy cow, when things went bad, they went bad.

2013, well One can only hope it will go supremely better.  And I have the hopes it will, I hope to return the site to its "former glory" aka November of 2011.

So lets take a brief look back at the year that was 2012, in the FvNation/Farmville/Bob world.

Well the site reached a few milestones this year with views and whatnot.  The site got more messages of rage and hate than previous years.  Plus more messages suggesting that folks can't read.  At all.

Farmville Churned out a whole bunch of farms.  Why did they do this?  Well years ago, people complained that some "other farm game" could have multiple farms, so Zynga got the idea that everyone wanted lots of more Farms, and so they started slowly, but now seem on about a every few months clip, another farm appears.  And it likely will keep going.

The game added just Massive amounts of Animals, Trees, Gnomes, Blooms, and Crops this past year.  It was a very full up release schedule, with market updates sometimes coming every night for 4 weeks straight.

But its not that everything in Farmville cost Farmcash this year, they had plenty of options to pick up free items.  Granted it wasn't as simple as could be, but still free with a little work, is better than Pay.

In Bobdom for this year, lots of ups and lots of downs, but such is life.  I called upon my friends/fans to help me, and without fail, they came through.  It's hard to put into words just how apperciative I am of the folks that do things to help me.  It's been humbling to see that people for the most part have got behind me and pushed me to victory a number of times.

Outlook for 2013 for Fvnation/Farmville

FvNation: Will make every effort to be what it once was, and even better.  I will be contacting a few humans that have expressed interest in helping.  I have made a commitment to the site, and the audience in general, I've secured ownership of the domain fvnation.com for a number of years.  So It's not going away anytime soon.

Farmville: Hopefully Farmville sticks around as long as I hope it does.  I know lots of people have quit in the past year.  And even more are thinking of quitting.  Also tons of folks have issues in just having the game function mostly as intended.    Only like 5 Million people are playing a week, which is far from where it used to be.  If folks are not having fun, it may be the right thing for them to not play.  Maybe Zynga will introduce some fixes that make the game run better, and more folks will quit running off.  Shockingly likely the biggest bane to Zynga's Farmville, is Farmville 2, which is currently pushing almost 18.3 million people playing in a week.

In closing, Its been a bumpy ride in 2012, hopefully 2013 is a bit more smooth, but if not, we will make do anyway, because that is what we do.

Until next post, I am still your humble bearded guide, Bob.
