Mmm okay this sounds pretty tasty… Crafting your own clam chowder and farm house cheddar cheese… in your very own restaurant! I also happen to particularly like the seagulls perched on the top but that's just me.
Zynga is spreading more teaser images over their facebook page… here is one of a new crop called Chandler Blueberries. This also seems to be a new sheep, and my favorite part of the picture, a sailboat! Their text also indicates lady slipper crop is on the way too! Lighthouse Cove, AHOY!
From the facebook Farmville page… "Great News Everyone! FarmVille is taking farming to the coast! So stay tuned to find out more about your new farm with a cove! "
It's rather pretty but I'm not exactly sure where the farm ends and the lush backdrop begins. How much control will we have over the scenery/landscape? Time will tell!
Zynga finally gets around to telling us we get a DOUBLE MASTERY WEEKEND to celebrate Labor Day in the USA on September 5th. It's supposed to start Friday at 9:00PM Pacific Standard Time and carry on through Monday-ish. ENJOY!
We've had some preliminary reports coming in of the release of this week's animal habitat. It hasn't shown up for the majority of us (another "slow roll out"… goody) but here's what we know thanks to a couple lucky FVNationals:
In order to build it you'll need:
10 Wrenches
10 Pipes
10 Shrubs
What our new habitat will look like once we collect all this junk…
Here's what yours likely looks like now if you have it:
Zoo Quests! The new series of zoo themed quests is being slowly released as well. More info when we have it!
Wow here we go with some new "exotic" goodies today! They've given us a new theme called "Animal Sanctuary" with a few new critters to populate our already overpopulated farms! Additionally, some "zoo" oldies but goodies were rereleased to stick inside our new Zoo habitat (which is on the way…??). And also we have a feisty zoo-box with a few mysterious animals if you like to gamble. ALSO there is a new level one tree called the Chinese Tulip Tree and its level two counterpart called the African Tulip Tree. You know the drill, buy the cheaper one and grow the expensive one in an orchard!
As far as the contents of the Zoo Box, there's still some debate and we're still opening boxes, but here's a rough draft of the contents list:
Amur Leopard
Chinese Dragon
Red Panda
Caiman Lizard
White Kangaroo
Rainbow Panda
One more time folks… not 100% sure yet as the wrapping paper is still being shredded on this end! Report your findings!
Zynga's weekly Animal Habitat release is still going strong, and here are a few "hints" (or outright spoilers) as for what's ahead with the exotic/zoo animal habitat! Check out this new tropical pad to decorate our farms with:
And with all the new animal habitats (zoo is coming soon/now)… of course we have a few more animal friends popping out as products of the *ahem* activities of the animals we store inside. Here's some of the new guys that the stork may bring us… (or if not the stork, maybe we'll be charged oodles of FarmCash for them… time will tell!)
And one last thing to share, a bit of cute art regarding the obligatory Zoo Animal Mystery Box!
What's inside it you may ask? Well worry not! Here's the answer to that:
Bonjour safariers! Safariists? Safarians? Hmm… Anyway, welcome to a French Safari today at FVNation! Today I'll be taking you to Paris, France, in celebration of the recent Parisian theme in Farmville. And not just any old place in Paris, but on one of the most famous streets in the world, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées.
The name of the street translates to Elysian Fields, which is in homage to Greek mythology, for a blessed place. And indeed many folks believe that this street is blessed, and holds all you could ever need! In modern times, it has movie theaters, chic boutiques, the entire scale of dining from fine to fast, and more more more! There is even a popular French song about it, singing how everything you could ever want is found there, and it's perfect in the rain or the sunshine, at noon or midnight! Click the photo of the Avenue below to see a cute rendition of the song with video clips up and down the street for your viewing pleasure.
The most striking and historic feature of this street is perhaps the Arc de Triomphe, translating to the Arch of Triumph. This monument is for those who fought and died in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars.
And yes, there are neatly pruned trees growing in a vaguely fence-like manner along the Avenue… but still… four trees in a row to represent this street? This decoration item titled "Champs Elysees" entered the market on 7/22/11 for a cost of 5 Farmcash.
Perhaps a slightly better value was the Arc de Triomph, which was released on 7/19/11 for a much higher cost of 35 Farmcash, but was substantially cooler. Here's a comparison between the real and the fake Arcs:
I have to give the Farmville designers some credit… they are fairly close in appearance, with some slack given for minute details. We can also see a peek of the Eiffel Tower in the background of the real Arc… but that is perhaps a story for another Safari!
